About Glucose Fasting, Urine
A fasting glucose urine test measures the amount of glucose in the urine at a given time. Glucose is a type of carbohydrate, the major energy source for all the cells in the body. The presence of glucose in the urine is negligible most of the time. If the presence of glucose in the urine is high, it means that your kidneys are eliminating excess blood glucose, which could be a sign of diabetes. Healthcare providers use this test to screen, monitor, and diagnose the risk of developing diabetes

Test preparation
This test requires fasting (no food or drink, except water) overnight for at least 10 to 12 hours before undergoing the test. Ensure that your healthcare provider is aware of your medical history and other supplements
